Welcome to HFL Bookkeeping. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the following terms.
Our Services

HFL Bookkeeping provides virtual bookkeeping, payroll support, and related financial recordkeeping services using QuickBooks and other accounting tools. We are not a CPA firm and do not provide tax, legal, or investment advice. Clients should consult a licensed CPA, tax preparer, or attorney for advice specific to their situation.
Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely financial information and documentation needed to perform our services. We are not responsible for errors or delays resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or late information provided by the client.
Fees & Payment

Fees for services are outlined in your service agreement or invoice. Payment is due according to the terms specified at engagement. Late payments may result in paused services until the account is current.
Confidentiality

We treat all client financial information as confidential and will not disclose it except as necessary to perform our services, as authorized by the client, or as required by law.
Limitation of Liability

HFL Bookkeeping will perform services with reasonable care and in accordance with industry standards. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HFL Bookkeeping is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services, including but not limited to reliance on financial reports for decisions outside the agreed scope of work.
Termination

Either party may terminate services with written notice as outlined in the service agreement. Clients remain responsible for fees incurred prior to termination.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Bookkeeping services are billed monthly in advance. Fees for services already performed are non-refundable, as they reflect time and work completed on your behalf.
Clients may cancel services at any time with 30 days written notice. If services are billed in advance, any unused, prepaid fees for periods after your cancellation date will be refunded on a prorated basis; fees for the current billing period in which work has already begun are non-refundable.
If you are dissatisfied with completed work, please contact us within 30 days so we can review and correct any errors. We do not offer refunds for completed work but are committed to resolving legitimate concerns about accuracy or service quality.
Any setup, onboarding, or cleanup/catch-up fees are non-refundable once work has begun, as these represent time spent bringing your books current.
Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.
